Thomas (Titch) Hewitt - Deputy Director, Republic of Ireland Titch began his martial arts career at the age of seven in Boxing. He pursued it steadily for 20 years. Then, he was introduced to karate in 1974 during an unarmed combat instructor’s course. He fell in love with the art and has travelled extensively for seminars. Titch’s 42-year military resume’ is also extensive. He taught classes in Lebanon, Kosovo, and Chad. He’s a retired Sergeant Major with nine missions overseas: seven in Lebanon, one in Kosovo, and one in Chad. Titch has completed four marathons, became the Westmeath Boxing Champion, and the All-Army Champion both in the novice and senior divisions. He married Anne in November of 1971 and they have eight beautiful children.
