TERRENCE R. BOWLIN
Regional Director, Southwestern United States of America
Terrence Bowlin is an eighth degree black belt in Yabe Jiujitsu who started his training in 1979. A 15 year veteran of the Texas Department of Corrections, Terrence has had to use his training to save lives against hardened criminals on the inside with nothing to lose. He is also a long-time instructor of Pekiti-Tirsia, who has trained directly from Grand Tuhon Leo Gaje for many, many years. His many decades of classroom and “real world”/”life or death” experience clearly set him apart from the majority of instructors in his disciplines.
A published author on Yabe Jiujitsu and a charter member of the Dekimasu Alliance, Terrence is actively sought as an MMA coach and personal defense consultant. He is the founder of the Bowlin Jiujitsu curriculum and currently resides in Texas with his wife and their children. In his spare time, Terrence enjoys practicing and teaching Medieval European weapons combat.
